Short Bio:I am the Director of Operations for a nonprofit organization called Mobile Hope which serves the Corcoran community through increased education, access to resources, faith development, and healthy activities. I have held positions in corporate business, nonprofit executive work, and on church staffs over the years. My wife and I have served in the city of Corcoran for the last 23 years and lived here for the last 6 years. We have two boys in middle school and high school who enjoy their time in this community playing sports and enjoying the outdoors.
And a bit more detail...
Dedicated to the community
I have been serving the community of Corcoran for many years. I was introduced to the community over 20 years ago through a service opportunity at Maple Hill Estates working with youth and families. This initial connection has grown over those years into a 501(c)(3) organization called Mobile Hope, serving the Corcoran community with education, resources, and healthy activities to build a culture of achievement in mobile home communities. Education I have a bachelor degree in psychology from Cortland University in Cortland, New York and a Master of Divinity degree from Bethel Seminary in Arden Hills, Minnesota. I consider myself a life-long learner and have been excited to experience the many new ideas and concepts presented to me at the city council. Man of Faith
Faith has always been an important part of my life. Locally, I have been a member of Wayzata Free Church in Plymouth for many years. I have been an active participant, involved in serving as a volunteer, teacher of adults and youth, serving as a volunteer youth leader, as well as serving two years as pastor of outreach. I started serving in ministry in 1990 as a Sunday School teacher for 3rd and 4th graders and have been active in a variety of roles ever since. Importance of Family My family holds an important position in my life as well. I have been happily married to my wife, Jill, for 23 years and my sons, Josh (13) and Isaac (15), provide a steady stream of activities and energy within the family. My wife and I work side by side at Mobile Hope serving in Corcoran and Dayton so we see a lot of each other. Also, I get to connect often with my boys outside of our home as a volunteer youth leader and as a football coach. |
